Naoko Okawachi to Speak on December 7 at “The Current State of Public Humanities: In Conversation with the Authors of Part III of Opening the Humanities to Society”

(Tokyo; Founder & CEO: Naoko Okawachi) is pleased to announce that its CEO, Naoko Okawachi will speak on December 7, 2025, at the public study session titled “The Current State of Public Humanities: In Conversation with the Authors of Part III of Opening the Humanities to Society: Thinking and Practicing through Public Humanities (Bungaku-Tsūshin, 2025).”

This study session invites the authors of Part III, “Practicing the Humanities in Society,” of Opening the Humanities to Society: Thinking and Practicing through Public Humanities (Bungaku-Tsūshin, 2025), with the aim of sharing in greater depth the practices, questions, and aspirations that could not be fully covered in the book. It also seeks to build connections that may lead to future collaborative projects and networks. As Naoko contributed the chapter “Entrepreneurship and Practice as an ‘Application’ of Cultural Anthropology” to Part III, she will participate as one of its authors.
