Ideafund Co., Ltd. (Tokyo; Founder & CEO: Naoko Okawachi) is pleased to announce that our CEO, Naoko Okawachi, will participate as a speaker in a talk session at the Loftwork Conference on June 25, 2026.
Loftwork Conference
Over the course of three days, from June 23 to June 25, 2026, Loftwork Shibuya Office will host a series of talk sessions, exhibitions, and discussions under the theme of “Re:Creation,” bringing together practitioners with diverse perspectives.
[DAY3-E] Performing the Future and Researching Through the Body: Exploring the Potential of Embodied Research for Co-Creating New Meaning
Date & Time: June 25, 2026, 18:00–19:30
Admission Fee: JPY 2,000 (advance registration required)
Capacity: 50 participants
Venue: FabCafe Tokyo (1F Dogenzaka Pia, 1-22-7 Dogenzaka, Shibuya-ku, Tokyo)
As the speed of information gathering and analysis continues to accelerate, this session reexamines contemporary research practices that are increasingly losing a sense of “physical engagement” or embodied experience. Centered around LARP (Live Action Role-Playing as a theatrical prototyping method) and ethnography, guests Daijiro Mizuno and Naoko Okawachi will explore how research can evolve from merely “knowing” to actively “creating.” The discussion will focus on ways to generate ideas and insights that cannot be derived from data alone. The session will also introduce an upcoming LARP program scheduled for August.
