IDEAFUND Co., Ltd., commissioned by a financial industry association, conducted survey targeting fund demanders.

  • Method : Questionnaire surveys on the Internet (Survey for individuals and survey for businesses)
  • Target : Internet monitor members over the age of 18 all over Japan
  • Survey questions: Borrowing motives/background, borrowing awareness/behavior, expectations/requests for moneylenders
  • Survey procedure : First, we conducted a pre-survey and extracted each population for the main survey. After that, we conducted a detailed main survey.

    Purposes of the survey

    The purposes of this survey were to clarify that the money lending industry was properly fulfilling its sound fund-supplying function amidst changes in the social environment, as well as to clarify the actual state of borrowing behavior and awareness of borrowing among those demanding funds.

    Survey results

    We have clarified the following facts.

    1. Moneylenders need to understand the diversity of those demanding funds, enhance protection of those demanding funds, and promote efforts to improve the financial literacy of those demanding funds.
    2. Since many small businesses face various problems and concerns about fundraising and financing, money lenders are expected to provide a variety of financial services that meet the actual needs of those who demand funds.
